Beef Chili & Old-Fashioned Pumpkin Cookies

Fall is the perfect time for baking your favorite recipes. And if you happen to be baking a dessert, you're sure to get that comfy, cozy vanilla aroma throughout your home!

It has been, I guess you could say, an annual tradition in my home to always cook up a good pot of chili the first sunday of the football season. Some years back, I came across Wegmans' three-pound Beef Chili recipe and I've been making it ever since.
Doesn't it look scrumptious?! Get the recipe for yourself: Wegmans Beef Chili. Serve it up with some fresh bread and butter....Mmmm! And in case you're wondering -it freezes great. So, if you are pressed for time during the week but want to serve a hearty, warm meal, just grab some out of the freezer.

This past sunday, me and the little one made some delicious (that's an understatement!) old-fashioned pumpkin cookies from my Libby's recipe book.

Here's a glimpse of the dough, prior to baking:

And a glimpse of the cookie after baking (nothing particularly interesting to speak of):

THEN. Add some glaze and your mouth begins to water over how delish the cookies look:

Serve 'em up on a autumn leaf plate and watch them disappear! (btw -this is my "food fashion shot" -hey, even food can be fashionable!)

I took a shot with this blog post in showcasing photos that were all taken using my IPhone! Pretty good, huh?!

I'm hearing/reading alot that everyone is baking up a storm, now that fall is here. Did you bake or cook something this past weekend? Share it with me and my readers and let's get a recipe chain going!
